A Dad’s Horrendous Letter To His Daughter After She Started Dating A Black Man Has Gone Viral

It is amazing that in the 21st century, racism, homophobia and sexism related issues are treated with the utmost importance, and whilst many people would never judge someone based on their skin colour, sexuality or gender – there are still individuals around the world who can’t quite seem to grasp that.

19-year-old Stephanie from Keller, Texas, has experienced this first hand when her parents found out about her new boyfriend.

When Stephanie started dating a young gentleman named Nike, who happens to be black, her own mother and father could not accept their relationship simply because of his race. Not only did they not approve – Steph’s dad sent his daughter the most disgusting letter imaginable; and even threatened to disown his own child. Take a look:

‘Over the last several years, you’ve turned on everything that we tried to instill from childhood. You’re nowhere near the daughter I thought you would be at this point, and I’m deeply heartbroken.

Yes, we had this discussion-sort of- a while back. At that time, I hoped I would eventually take the high road and come to accept an interracial relationship…;.I know that I will never accept it, and I’ll never forgive you. My belief is that interracial relationships are despicable. Vulgar and reprehensible. There’s nothing worse than a half-black and I’m crushed that my own daughter has entered into such a disgusting relationship.

Mistakes can be forgiven, but you have willingly and consciously chosen a lifestyle of sickening choices, and I won’t tolerate it. You have one final opportunity. Either end your relationship with ‘Nike’ or face the consequences.’

Take a look at the full length version of the letter that Stephanie has uploaded to her Twitter account which soon went viral…;

Stephanie has had an overwhelming amount of support from the public, and rightly so! Her relationship should only ever be an issue to her father is she was being treated badly – race does not determine whether or not you’re a nice person.

Fortunately, Stephanie has not let her bigot of a father stand in the way of her happiness with Nike, as they are still in a relationship. We can only hope that her father will see that his actions were completely uncalled for and that jeopardising the relationship with his daughter over a man that she is dating is completely ludicrous.
